CAB ROLL BAR

yes, though we have to get a couple of logistical things in order first - this long delay thing is not working for me

Bob,

How is the progress on remaining bars in the first batch? I presume the shop did not finish them before holidays. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> Any estimate of the shipping date to less forrtunate folks outside of California, like myself?

How are things with the powder coater? Any news on possible shipping date?

i believe they are all there, and likely complete - my guess is i should be hearing that he is bringing them back to the shop for packing and then shipping, a couple at a time to prevent damage, starting tomorrow

i hope so, i'd like to get mine and be able to get on to the rest of my interior project

not ignoring you

ok - good news and bad news

good news first:

the last 6 base units are now finished at the powder coaters - they will begin shipping on tuesday in groups of 2 or 3 (that's all that will fit in the truck at one time without damage)

the remaining couple of race units will be right behind them by a couple of days

those of you who have not yet done so, you need to fax back your signed release form before we can ship - if you lost it, let me know - i'll send you another one

now the bad news:

there are no plans to do a second run at this time - this has been so much fun for me, that i haven't decided if i am going to license out the design again yet, mostly because i haven't figured out how not to have to be so personally involved in the process

also, we have not yet set the new price - if we do a second run, the price will have to reflect the increased amount of work to fabricate, above and beyond what was initially thought, though we stuck to the price commitment of those units anyway

so far, there are only a couple of people who have indicated any real interest - not enough to consider making a run - we need 10 to get going

not to say i told you so, or be a jerk, but back at the time of the first run, i cautioned to get in at that time, and avoid potentially being in a holding pattern indefinitely - a couple of people held back - unfortunately, exactly what i was afraid of happening is becoming the reality

sorry - get 10 people together and committed, and then get ahold of me, and we will revisit this

Flash,

I faxed my form way back with the original order. Do I need to resend it now? Is there any way to track shipment and get expected delivery date?

Thanks,

got note from mike - ok

still need them from brian and gene

guy - you have email

i believe he is shipping out one a day - that's what works best for security in the parking lot (he can only carry one at a time) and insurance against damage

ok - now that these things are going out the door, it's time to post the instructions for installation

follow them carefully and you should have no problems - they aren't difficult, but don't take any shortcuts
