CAB CHASSIS BRACE ROUND 3
#1

ok - so, it looks like it's time to do another round of these - for those of you who don't already know about this, do a search for "cab chassis brace", and you will see what it is all about

however, this time they will be one at a time, as the logistics and tendency of the welder to back-burner the project make batches extremely problematic

i'll work out the price over the next couple of days and get back to everybody

please send email to me (not PMs) if you want to order one

Hey Flash,

I saw something that you might want to consider adding onto your rollbar that was on a Mazda Miata roll bar the other day. It was a snap-on padded leather cover that really made for a nice looking installation!! I think I am going to try and buy one from Mazda or whoever makes that rollbar for the Miata.

i thought about that when i designed this one - i opted to have the hoop as high as possible to accommodate tall drivers, so i built it extremely close to the frame

while there is clearance between the bar and the top when it is up, there is no room between the bar and the top as it goes up and down

as it stands, you would have to snap it on and off each time the top went up and down - i figured it was too much of a pain for most people, so i didn't create a pad

i will be doing something like that on the track though

Wiseman,

I spent $2.6k for Robbins top, headliner & installation.

The scratch resistant rear window was so clear (than I was used to anyway), I thought it was missing!

Not cheap, I know, but at least the installation was perfect and that "Economic Stimulus" check came in handy :-)

My Cab is '94, so I only have to do this every 14 years ...

ok - finally nailed down the costs and increases and such with everybody involved - basically we've seen a 20% increase in costs since the last run - new pricing:

base unit............................................. $775

x-brace................................................$210

harness bar..........................................$100

shipping packaging and handling approx $175

send me an email with your order, shipping address, and contact info - i will contact you for deposits and such

i plan to begin on this next week - i am told it will be 3-4 weeks to complete - i can't imagine doing any more of these after this - there just aren't that many cars, and it's a huge pain in the butt to do - so if you want one, this is probably the last chance - i can't promise this will be available after this run

Hi Flash,

Can we just order the x-brace and harness bar if we already have the base unit?
