I am curious about this roll bar. How does it attach if not screwed, welded, etc., to the body? Will it pass all the necessary inspections to allow me to autocross? Can a chimp like me install it?

There are six bolts that hold the "chassis stiffener" to the body. I'll leave it to others to opine on the inspection issue - saying that it has past inspection for me to drive in the intermediate group at Watkins Glen (noting that these have NOT been PCA events).

The holes already exist? I read there is no drilling necessary. God only knows what the PCA requires....

yes, the holes already exist - in fact, they have bolts in them

i am painfully aware of what PCA requires - i followed the design requirements to the letter - in full compliment, it meets or exceeds all design specs for both PCA and SCCA - if you could convince a steward to allow a cab in a race, it would fulfill their requirements - it has passed all inspections thus far for autocrosses and DE events - however, it has not been certified, as i just haven't gotten around to it - that will happen though, as i am about to build a race car

anyway - no drilling, welding, or cutting is necessary to mount this unit - it bolts right into existing frame mounting locations

take a look at the pictures and you will understand

Out of more than idle curiosity - does this mean I could have the harness bar before my next DE event in mid-October? If so, then I could mount the camera right-side up, instead of hanging it from the top hoop as I had to do at Watkins Glen in the spring.
