Then after all the hard work ,about a 100 miles after the rebuild , the odometer/tripmeter stoped working .
Replaced the gears and all is working again .
ran the car for about 500 miles now , oil pressure is good little over 2bar hot idle and from 2000 rpm 4 bar or more when hot .
Very pleased with the engine , no leaks , and the clean look makes me happy , lot of elbow grease and a sodablaster did the trick .
The only problem i had was , the temperature of the car was off , higer than before , decided to have a look at the new thermostat , and we all know it is a pain to get to , and a messy job , that is why i Always replace it with a new one together with the new waterpump , well the new one was bad , opend at 89c schould be 83c and only opend to half way , Original Porsche wayler thermostat , next time i wil test it before i install it , pissed me off , but won't be the first or the last time a new part is faulty out of the box .

Fantastic work on the car. I wondered how the new DM Flywheel felt different than the old unit? Was the old unit causing vibration or was it a feel to the clutch engagement?
I ask because mine is old but I can't remember it feeling different when I first bought the car.
Thanks for the posts..

Vibration was there around 2200rpm when reving the engine not in gear , shifts better and there is less play in the drive train , it feels a lot directer after shifting .
And idle is better .
I think the main cause would have been the DMF , but i did a complete rebuild and new engine mounths as well .

Did not drive a lot with 968 this year , covid and lockdowns , next year , hopefully .
So finaly found the time to sort the clutch out , wich i should have done years ago , it was to heavy , and since i had the new DMF in there , i should have taken more time,to find out if the presuure plate was correct .
It's clear it was not , nr,s etc all correct , blue strip on it , no good , finally called my supplier , and told him the problem , he send me a new sachs clutch plate , and now it is nice and smooth .
Feels like a new car , what a difference it makes .
New
Old
Installed a new windscreen , was on my list for years ,and what a difference .
Old one just before removal .
It is a original windscreen , it has the antenna in there , without is not available anymore , also decided to install one with the green band on the top .

Finally the rotrex oil arrived , and time to change , it was simpel and straight forward as discribed .
Emptied the reservoir ,replace the filter , unhooked the return line , and extend it a bit , started the car .
The old oil was clear , now looked a little more black , the new is blue , and it was easy to tell when it came out of the return hose .
Easy job , no rush , it comes out slowly , so plenty of time to top op the reservoir .
