Dropping the car off Monday at my mechanics for a stalling issue, but I thought might get some opinions from those who have had a similiar issue to give my mechanic a starting point. When I first got the car it might have stalled 10% of the time always when coming to a stop after putting the clutch in. Now it is doing it 25% of the time when coming to a stop. Runs fine and does not stall under other driving conditions. Any one have similiar issues? I have read that a bad DME relay can cause stalling so I will have him check that and the ECU as well. Anything else I should tell him to check first?

Check the idle control valve. I had a problem with that once and it caused the car to stall when coming to a stop as the revs fell.

How long does it take to stall, and is it only when you're stopped?

As soon as I put the clutch in and the revs start to drop it stalls. Now that I think about it, it did stall just one time without coming to a stop when i was on the highway at low RPM's - that was fun on the highway. I will add checking the idle control valve to the list.

Run a blink test - it's free, and might point you to a faulty sensor. But I agree, the ISV sounds like a likely culprit.
