stage 2 kit hits the mark!

just finished a 4 hour drive on the new map and fpr that included bumper-to-bumper traffic, LA freeway, and wide open highway 101.

the added torque down low really improves the ride from 2k to 3k rpm. the acceleration is there for all six gears and throttle response feels smoother too. huge improvement in the launch from a stop; can't wait for the next autocross.

also have an appreciation for what goes into the development for this kit. can't imagine trying to work the laptop, monitor instrumentation, record and save files, and test drive single handed.

i've been thinking about this, and because i have not released the charts on stage 3, and it seems that some people are waiting to make a move until then, that maybe i should extend the ordering for the final batch of Stage 2 kits another week.

i'll have the charts up on this friday, and so, i will take orders on Stage 2 until 8am pacific time on friday dec 21. that way i can still place my order before xmas.

charts are up. there will be new ones on wednesday, but they will be at least as good as the ones up there now.

so, get your order in now, or miss the boat. remember that stage 2 is needed for stage 3.

stage 2 batch 1 is shipping thursday for those who also have orders in for stage 3. the rest of stage 2 batch 1 will ship friday.

batch 2 orders of stage 2 are awaiting regulators. i'll know tomorrow what that timeline will be. these will all ship at the same time, regardless of whether or not they have stage 3 orders attached.

Hey Flash. Did any of your stage 2 kits get tested on a Tip?

nope. just like stage 1, the tip programming is entirely different. i've been giving it some thought though, to see what i can come up with long distance.

It sounds like you did a great job and I'm jealous of all you stick shift rowers. I felt like I missed the boat as I'm just catching up on the stage 2 development. My only reprieve, in retrospect, is that it doesn't seem like it was an option for me anyway. If it is possilbe to get the hardware and hash out the Tip tuning, I'll get my car out there. Though it does not make much sense from a business model, it would add to an already fun car, no doubt.
