Cheers.[/quote]Don't be sorry. They stain with incredible ease. My car only gets used occasionally and even being extra cautious the gray mats got stained much sooner than I expected. Especially on the passenger side. My next mats will be black or charcoal gray, like the 951 cab in the Peter Morgan book.

tips aren't my thing either - father in law has bad arthritis and could no longer drive the TR-4A - wanted an automatic - wanted a boxster, but the golf clubs were an issue

as for the mats, i plan to just keep buying new ones every year - they are VERY inexpensive

As you can see from my late response, my grandkids have still been keeping me busy. I too wanted to congratulate you on the excellent 968 that you found for your father-in-law. You may have pondered how this car compares to the other low mileage 968s out there and this has got to be one of the top 10. I will no longer be in that category after the Albuquerque 968 Celebration since I anticipate approx. 16,700 odometer reading upon our return to PA. Ask your father-in-law if he would like to join the PCA 968 Register (234 + 968 owner members) and have him email me if he is interested.

thanks - yeah, i figure he'll put on about 1200 miles a year tops - he has had it for 2 months now, and still hasn't used a full tank of gas - at 5 miles a trip, it will take a while
