#21

nobody is doing anything to undermine anybody - i certainly support everybody in all of their efforts - there is room and time for everything - it can only make the day more fun

Jay,

Excellent suggestion to have a fun run available for anyone interested, after the Tech Session (and the 968 Gathering) ends at 3:30pm on Saturday. I will include this info in my group email to the attendees today. I assume you will be hosting the Fun Run event and will show you as the Coordinator. Thanks! Don

p.s. Based on previous years experience with these events, I will probably "crash in a flash" after the 968 Gathering ends so I will not be able to join you.

not a bad solution - when don's portion of the gathering ends, the rest can go on and continue the days events and go for a spirited drive - some of the roads around there looked like fun - i blasted along some of them last year (like the one on the way to the museum) - i'm sure there are more around there that would be a kick in these cars

after hosting 5 paso robles runs, and realizing that people long for the adrenaline rush these cars were designed for, i finally worked in a fun run for that one too this year - the perfect conclusion to a great event

OK Folks,

Sorry to re-open a topic that looked like it was going in the wrong direction, let's try again.

On Saturday, April 25th, AFTER the Tech Session at Don's House, I would like to help organize a fun run around the Hershey area (approximately 2 Hours/50-75 Miles).

This event will not be sponsored or supported by PCA, 968Forums, or any other individual or group. I will not be liable for any damage, tickets, etc. unless I actually am the one getting a ticket or involved in the accident (bite your tongue).

Here's the rub...I do not know the Hershey area at all. It is 2 hours from my house and I don't have time to run up there and hunt for a good course. If someone from that area could help me out, it will be much appreciated. If we can't pull this off, then I don't have a plan "B". I could make a Saturday morning available to run with someone who knows the area and write directions or whatever.

In summary, I would like to drive after the formal event...don't know the roads...will do anything I can to make this possible for those that would enjoy partaking in this activity with me, could use some help/would like to help.

Jay

I'm in but traveling solo. I used to live in the area (Lancaster) but I'm afraid I don't know of any routes for the fun run. I would head away from the Lancaster area as it gets very crowded with tourists. Wish I could help more but maybe we make it up on the fly. I really like the fun run idea as you and did at our celebrations.

Ditto - I may be in for the run (need to check whether there are other commitments for the afternoon/evening) but I don't know the area and can't make any recommendations.
