Agreed, I would be (VERY) happy to participate in an event at another (non-conflicting) time...
Darryl and I have spoken about this as a possibility, we would be happy to lend a hand.

Ya, I'd probably attend if it were a different date. I've done a winery tour in NC with my local PCA region, the wines are OK, some really not so, but it was more about the drive. We stayed in Mt. Airy (Mayberry) as it was pretty central to the NC wine country and has lots of hotels and restaurants. If your looking to stay closer to VA, there is a Tail of the Dragon like road called Back of the Dragon in VA that runs down 16 from Tazewell to Marion.
http://backofthedragon.com/ There are a couple wineries in that area, but not a lot. Your going to find most of them around the Yadkin Valley area in NC, which is why Mt. Airy is a typical lodging spot for winery tours.

Yes, let's do it! Jay and I spoke awhile back. I would be happy to host it here at my place. There are plenty of hotels, food, shopping, and historical sights near my shop so opportunities for things other than "car stuff" and I have a couple of fun runs already mapped out from other events that we can do. The Front Royal, VA portion of Skyline is about an hour from my place.

Who is going to the Parade in northern Michigan? I was just reading about it. I'm tempted.

I won't be driving to Monterey in 2014, so it's either the 2013 Parade or wait and see for 2015.
