#61

Just saw it. Love it. Windscreen will work with it. Ready to place that order.

Wow, it really looks great with storage boxes in. I am ready for my order just need to decide painted or powder coated.

What are the pros and cons of powder coated versus painted (cosmetically and wear & tear)? It seems painted is more like "stock", but powdercoated may be more "stealthy" as it has no gloss (and fingerprints)?

Thanks!

Bob. What type of seats are in your cab?

Recaro made me a set of Sportlines - i tracked down the Porsche perforated leather and sent it to them and they made the deviating seats for me - they offered beige, but not Cashmere, and i wanted to match my interior - you can have pretty much anything done by them for a fee (about 150 each to do what i did)

incredibly comfortable seat - not quite a hugging as a full blown race seat, but very nice, especially for a street car - they recline, have an inflatable lumbar support at the touch of a button, and have a tilt up switch

retail on these, with sliders is about 3 grand - i hear you can buy the premade ones for about 1100 each and then buy the sliders (need those to bolt them in) for about 300

Well, I'll have to hold off for a bit, but they look sweet.

Is there a delay in production?

Of course there is. Isn't there always? That seems to be the way of the world today - everything takes longer, does less, costs more, etc. etc. etc. Flash, this is not personal to you - just a general lament. (However, always recognizing that the timing was very tight, it would have been nice to have the roll bar for my upcoming DE event. Next time, I guess.)

i will be confirming the appointment this afternoon for tomorrow - he has been wrapping up a project that got dropped on him - sorry guys - i want the finished product too

jim - you aren't gonna make it for your DE - i see no way to get it done by then and shipped - likely end of the month for first delivery

Understood. No problem - I'm still expecting that this will be so much better than anything else in the market that it'll be worth the wait. Well done.

again, anybody interested needs to email me - we will be doing a batch based on advance orders i get via email - then after that i have no idea how fast the turnaround will be, but you can bet it will be in batches, so you may end up waiting a bit for the batch to accumulate if you miss the first run

it will come with complete installation instructions (it's really very simple) - i've been snapping pics along the way of each and every step

keep watching for updates on schedule - i'm waiting by the phone for the go ahead from the fabricator to come down for the final revisions and fitting

You'd best not even THINK about having to tell me I missed the first batch - that is, unless you suggest that the second batch will be "new and improved".

sorry guys - this messes me up too - i really wanted to work on the subwoofer this weekend, but can't do it until the roll bar is out of the car giving me access to the storage box

Sounds like my local race oriented mechanic extrodinaire. It's always about the racers first. I understand, but there's a lot a damn race events going on...dangit!

Bob,

Any estimate on when mechanic will have a window in racer work to get our bars going? We can race too, just need the roll bars.
