Zero oil pressure
#1

Had noisy lifters but good pressure before- turned out to be a cracked oil pick up tube. After 1 year of driving it daily, one day pressure begin fluctuating down to 1 while driving and had the "idiot" light coming up, on and off. Got better for a few days and then pressure went to zero- stop driving it. I thought was the pick up tube loose or something, oil pan went off and nothing wrong with the pick up tube. I rebuilt the oil pump (my other guess) and nothing. Oil pump bolt torqued to spec. What else should I check before taking all apart again?  Thank you

Check the bearings.....start with the connectingrods
Check if there is damage.
Then check the sensor on the side and install a manual meter to measure it. Perhaps the wiring is broken due to age.
If anything elso as you said is good. Also fill the oilpump from the filter with enough oil because it can be difficult sometimes to get oilpressure after a build up as it will not suck the oil.
