When to check a changed timing belt
#1

At the last service I had the timing belt changed. I understand that I will need to have the tension checked after driving a few thousand kilometres.
However, I don't drive great distances, and I would cover about 2 thousand kilometres in 6 months.
My question is, would it be okay to wait 6 months (when I have the next oil change) to have the timing belt checked at the same time?
Or should I get the timing belt tension checked after, say, 3 months, regardless of how many kilometres I've done?

Only the balance belts need retensioning on the 968.
