need an outdoor car cover
#1

I live in Oregon where during the winter it rains a lot. Unfortunatly as a hobby I do woodworking and all my tools are in the gargage. I wish i could afford the 1500 sqare foot shop for the tools. But not yet. I can put my 968 into the shop if I put the tools against the wall and not use them. But when I need to use them the 968 goes outside. Any recommendation s on a car cover for a 968 being left out 24 hours a day with a lot of rain. The tempratures vary from about 34-60 degrees during the winter months. And does anyone know of one that can be locked onto the car so I don't have to worry about someeone stealing the cover.

Thanks

William Moss

In my neiborhood I cannot build a carport, nor can I put up a pop up tent in front of the garage. Thus the cover for my car>

I just went through this process for my Triumph TR3. I first tried the Covercraft Weatherking HP, but it had no mirror pockets and, as a result, didn't fit right. I exchanged it for the CoverKing Stormproof which wound up having the same problem. I called CoverKing direct and they sent me mirror pockets for free! I bought the covers through autoanything.com. They have good info comparing the various covers and rating them based on several variables. Good luck.

i have yet to find a cover that you can use in the rain that does not end up screwing up the paint. there are plenty of waterproof ones out there, and even ones with a cable lock that goes under the car to secure it against thieves, and it does keep water out of the car, and can help protect rubber bits from degrading, but the paint suffers.
