I have changed the lower balance shaft gaskets and in replacing the rear plastic cover I find a hole for a 6mm bolt to the front of the motor. But, the hole in the motor is not threaded. It appears a bolt was there, but a 6mm bolt is to small and a 8mm is too large. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a bolt holding the lower rear cover to the motor?

I knew a bolt had to go in to hold the rear cover to the block, what I didn't realize is the bolt is 6mm x 50mm long bolt. The threads for the bolt are way back inside the motor.
