So I had a productive weekend filled with rotors, pads, SS brake lines, and lots of brake fluid. To finish things up on Sunday I installed my SS clutch line. It was a big pain getting the new line attached to the master cylinder because there is no room for hands while trying to screw in the end. I took my time and got everything hooked up.
I bled all the brakes and was about to bleed the clutch when I notice dripping coming from above...the clutch master cylinder. With the motive power bleeder hooked up and pressurized, there is a small leak around the new clutch line where it screws into the master cylinder. For those familiar with the line, the leak seems to be between the adapter and master cylinder, not the adapter and line. It is not cross threaded and I followed the instructions (I think) and didn't over tighten anything, but it is leaking. Any thoughts? Did I over tighten? I could probably wrench on it tighter but the instructions say multiple times not to over tighten any connection.
Any help is appreciated. I'd like to get my car back on the road this week when I get new tires Wednesday.
Thanks,
