SHOW ME YOUR WHEELS

todzilla and 968TDG, maybe old news by now, but they are two different ones. http://www.wheelenhancement.com/index.ph...&street=on shows the two side-by-side. Carrera's and Carerra III's

I did 18" Carrera III's from a 997 made by BBS. Similar to the the 996 Thin spoke BBS wheels, very light wheels. I want to weigh them when i get new tires.

Currently:

235/40-18 ET 57 Front

265/35-18 ET 58 Rear

They fit perfectly in these offsets, the thin spoke 996 wheels have different offsets.

I will take the front tire size down to a 225/40-18 in the near future. My car sits a bit lower, about an inch up front, and the RF tires rubs on from time to time.

I looked though the whole thread and figured my rims must be stock as no one has anything posted that looked like mine - lol

I would post a pic here but am having trouble figuring out how so I will post it under my profile.

Those look like Speedline 3.6s? or copies of them? Very nice wheels.

Nice, wheels, I've always liked those and Sport Classics the best.

Yeah, Veloces are nice but HEAVY. Hey, Flash, isn't that the copper 968 you want for your collection?

IMO, that's THE best looking wheel for our cars - or any 80's - 90's Porsche for that matter. I could be persuaded to run the Veloce's if they weren't so heavy. Perhaps if they get enough feedback they might re-work that wheel design to bring the weight down. They'd sure sell a lot more of them...

Never heard or seen them before.

I like that look, but weight is a big factor. I will check them out.

The Veloce's are usually pretty affordable on eBay.

Trying to decide what to keep and what to let go before my garage gets so full of wheels the cars can´t even get in there..

As it came from the factory:

With 993 Cup wheels from my 993, as mounted on late 968´s

And finally with Veloce 3.6 (copies of Speedlines as mounted on the turbos)

So if I was to select 1 set and clear the rest, which ones are the ones to keep?

That's hard for me as I can't let go of anything factory "just in case". I would certainly toss the second set as they don't do the car justice. IHMO for those of you who have them <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/ninja.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I have my 16's in the garage, JIC.... but I've had the Veloce's on for nearly two years now. and it's the second best thing on the car. First being the SC, of course!

I guess what I may end up doing is leaving it with the Veloce's, and keep the C2 Turbo (Cup 1)'s, just because they are hard to find if I ever wanted to revert back to stock. I have a slight rubbing problem on rear left on the outside against the fender, these Veloces are 9.5 et 48, with 265/35/18 tires. According to Veloce these are the right rims and offsets for the 968, for those of you who run these, what tires do you mount? Will need to go and have someone look at my alignments to see what may be causing this..
