Okay, so I've read the numerous threads on wheels/rims and spacers that we have here on the forums, and while I know some of the wheels that fit/shipped on our cars, I was thinking it would be helpful to have a comprehensive buyers guide - in one place - that listed all of the wheels (OEM?) and their fitments for the 968.
The idea being that if you wanted to move from a stock 16" rim to say a 17" or 18" - and didn't want to use spacers - you could simply pull up our detailed list of wheels/data and feel confident you had the correct set.
What do you guys think? I was sort envisioning a layout like Wheel Enhancements. A picture of the rim with some data on the widths, offsets, weight, and wether it required spacers or not. I realize there are lots of wheels out there, but I figured we could start with the OEM rims typically available, and then expand it out. Ideally the direct fit - no spacers needed - OEM rims would be the first list we compiled. Then the next set could be spacers are needed, fenders need to be rolled, etc, etc.
Thoughts?

actually, there are not that many. you might find a dozen different wheels to fit the car, spacers or not.
also, fitment depends a lot on ride height, camber angles, tire choice, etc.
i'm not saying that a chart or something isn't a decent idea, just that it's going to be small.

Great, in a sense this makes it even easier! Would we able to spec wheels for say a "typical" set-up - factory or pretty close - so that the list is applicable to the majority of owners... And then the 2nd list could be all of the "TBD for your setups" ?

...any 18" wheel will be offset, tire and setup dependent.

Does that mean an 18" requires spacers regardless?
