As it is that the time of me owning a 968 is very close upon us, I come with a question! I bought the car with winter wheels, and for now they will do fine. However I've set my mind to 993 turbo wheels. The question, Does the ET need to be the same as the original wheels ? (so 52 / 62) Many wheels on the internet are 10J, isn't that to big for a 968 ?
I also read that the 7.5J front wheels needed spacers? Or is this for the 964 only ?

Thanks!

Here is my 1 week old! - '94 6 speed in polar silver with 18" Carrera III reps.........which I'm thinking of changing to some 911 (17") twists, but the more I look at these, I'm not sure!!? The one with the 'different' spoiler isn't mine, but the same color and rims........and for some reason, it looks soooo much nicer than mine!!...not that I'm jealous!! lol

I'm not especially familiar with the wheel names, but those two wheel sets pictured above are slightly different. The top car with the Turbo spoiler has much sharper spokes. I like how both of them look.

^^^^ Hmnmm...Now that I look closely, I'm thinking you're right! Those might be a 19" 997 rim? Either way, love that car!

good looking wheels todzilla. Why do you want to swap them for smaller wheels? The 993 twists are 18" only unless you buy replicas.

I know - reps are fine. I just want that look and a slightly softer ride. My car has the M030 sways and Konis so it's a bit harsh coming from an '04 RX-8 on the 35s and 40 series rubber! Some 45s should help a bit and give me the look I'm after. This is a dd not a track toy so ultimate handling is not essential.

Ok, baby got a new pair of shoes....finally found some 17's - Kinesis Supercups 8X17 et52 and 9x17 et56 weigh about 20 & 21 lbs respectably (using the old bathroon scale)...

Ended going with Hankook ventus v12 evo k110's 225/45 & 255/40 (a little stretch on the fronts but looks ok to me...I'll see how do..) couldn't pass up the price - shipped and installed for $489 and there's a $50 rebate coming for buying before the en of this month...

Love those wheels, sorry not painted though. I either want Flashs' wheels or those Supercups in all silver/partial polish.

I didnt like Flash's wheels in photo's, but seeing them in person made me do a 180 in regards to my feelings about the wheels. I think they look really really good and give his cab a lot of presence.
