shock and strut suggestion
#1

Looking for recommendations for shocks and struts for a good ride. At 100K I'm thinking the original ones might be getting a little soft. Looks like the adjustable Koni units would do the trick but have used Bilsteins in the past on other cars and really liked the ride. I have no problem moding the front strut housings to use the struts listed for earlier 944s if the bilsteins will do the trick. What are you more seasoned 968 owners using?

I have used the Koni gas adjustable "Yellow" struts & shocks on both 968s that I have owned as well as the 944S2 and 924S which I used to own. I also used Bilsteins on a 911S which I used to own and liked them too. If you plan to use the car on track, I prefer the Koni adjustable feature. If it is a street only car, the Bilsteins are fine and need no adjustment at all. good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Over here, in Europe, the Koni´s are seen as a "2nd brand"!

Myself upgrade with Bilstein ClubSport and springs from H&R. Feels really nice for a track as the Nurburgring, which is a bit bumpy.

If you drive a lot of track days I would recommend a coilover kit from Bilstein, H&R or KW Variant 3.

Also a lot of guys who converting to coilovers, removes the torsiontubes in the back.

Under "väghållning" and "Specialprodukter". This one is in swedish I´m afraid, but has good pics of the products.

Good luck in your decision.
