Removing the seats
#1

After removing all the Allan bolts from the tracks I found 2 wires leading up and connecting to the seat. For the smaller wire I had to squeeze in the sides and pull them apart. No problems there. As for the larger one, I cant figure it out. Looks like a 2"X1" box that has a clamped on lid. I cant see it too well from the angle I have to tilt my head.

How can I release this wire as its my final step?

If I remember correctly all you need to do is keep working it side to side and pulling it apart, it will eventually come apart. These connections are to the seat belt warning alarm and to provide power to the seat motors. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

It was actually just a plug. 6 prongs were plugged into the box from the bottom. Same design as the switches in front of the shifter (rear wiper, mirrors etc.).

Oh, and correct you were Bob.

But when it comes to wires and this old car I only apply so much force before giving up in fear of breaking it.

Understand, and the plastic parts just keep breaking! Good luck, Bob Blackwell.
