Smokiemon, my independent mechanic sells them. They are also available from Canton Racing Products online. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Thanks Bob and Brain,

Thats what I wanted to hear - tired of the mess every 5000 miles...

I think I will put my order in today

One question though - are you guys using 25-282 (4 1/4" ) or the taller 25-482 (6 1/4") holds more oil?

I usually placed an oversized filter(length and width) on my prior engine rebuilds. I find stock filters surface area too small(subjective)...my pressures usually remain the same or increase slightly as there is now more flow through the filter. Usually use KN or Bosch..

Honestly, I have yet to experiment with the Porsche design...

Sam, I use the short filter. The taller (longer?) filter didn't fit as well. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Sam,

I use the short 8 micron filter # CM-15. It is the one that CANTON recommend for our cars

When you order your unit it will come with a filter installed. Get 2 more and a spare seal kit, # 26-852.

The CANTON body comes very close to the power steering fluid lines coming from the tank. I use a black nylon cable tie to hold them together and out of the way of the top of the canister.

If anyone wants to go the Canton filter route, I have one I never installed. I believe these go for around $90 ... any offers?

I can't really tell from the photos of the filter how they make changing the oil easier. Does the billet cannister screw on the oil spigot and stay permanently so when you change the filter the top comes off and you just pull out the spent cartridge?

Exactly. No more spilled oil down the engine and onto the bottom cover. Plus the filters trap smaller particles than the OEM and last longer between replacements.
