Depicted as a "guide tube" on the parts drawings.  But I can't find any reference to the bolt that seems to be missing in the picture below. (rotated accidently)

 

I've searched all my manuals, here, as well as online, with no luck. 

 

Any ideas as to size, threads, part number, etc?

 

Looks like there must be a bolt missing there due to the boss on the case.

And boy is it a bear to get at! no good angle with room to approach it from, at least it was in my case.it seems like there's lots of room until you start on it,just one of those awkward angles

Plan for a half hour or so to get that puppy back in, put a drop barrier in place and have your magnet or grabber handy! :0)

Might also be a good time to check or replace the O-ring that the dipstick tube sits on

As long as the clutch master cyl is out, you might consider reinforcing the firewall. My mechanic wants to plate it next time it's in the shop.
