Holy oil leak Batman
#1

So I went to get the white coupe from storage and, after I drove it a bit, I went to put it back in the garage and noticed a lot of oil under the car. A lot meaning half a cup. And none present when the car was put here. Turns out that the oil level thing that screws into the oil pan was leaking out right through it. Pete thinks that the high pressure that would be experienced on a very cold engine (-15C when I started it) caused the part to fail. So I have a new one ordered and will replace it. So, dammit, now I am driving the Cayman.

It''s a hard world in which one has to choose from one of the other 3 Porsches to drive, yet I am sympathetic about having to deal with a major oil spill.

I feel your pain, Kim. My clutch hose just let go on my Coupe. Luckily it happened just as I was coasting into my parking spot at my house! Suffering through with the Cayenne, which is still riding on the Blizzaks, until the weather gets a tad better. Then, it's Cabriolet time with the tonneau cover and heated seats for those chilly mornings!

Darryl - do you have a Cayenne S or a Cayenne V6? How do you like it? I really like mine. Have driven it 266,000 km in 4 years.
