My hand brake is a little loose when its in the disengaged position (down toward the floor) and the parking brake light comes on some times from it being loose. Anyone know the easiest way to tighten it up. In the pic below, there are three nuts for the mechanism. I have been able to loosen the small one on the far right (just behind the big one), but the other two (marked with arrows) won't budge and I can't get a socket or wrench on them because of the clearance. Am I missing something here? The brake itself works fine when engaged.
Thanks

not so easy, can't get wrench on these because there's no clearance. What I can get on them won't turn them. I'll have to take out the seat to see if I can get more room..

This is not the "Proper" way, but move the carpet clear of the nuts, hit them all with PB Blaster (or a similar really good penetrating spray), keeping it off the carpet if at all possible, and then see if you can lock a "Needle Nose" Visegrip on the front nut first...
Make sure you are loosening it properly (I.E. lefty lucy, righty tighty), back it off about 4 turns, and then try the rear nuts, which appear to be locked together, but may free up with the pressure off and a little spray lube on them... may have to use two needle nose Visegrips on the rear nuts... try real hard not to let the Visegrip slip on the nut!!! Don't want to round them off!
