Did you end up going with this setup?

Thanks for the replies. I've ordered the Continental and harness from Tore at BergvilleFX. Once I get it installed I'll update with my thoughts own the sound. I know it's not the best audio choice, but it looks most appropriate for the 968 IMHO and it can't sound worse than the CR-1!
Next up might be to replace the amp, does anyone know where to get a replacement? Alternatively I could bypass it but that's also more work.
Cheers

Had one of those, the Sat screen is tiny, runs on windows CE, for $1200 I would do something else
I paid £200 for it as it had two blown capacitors, I repaired it used it and sold it for £400

The new-ish Blaupunkt Bremen SQR DAB is looking good for anyone wanting a stock-look headunit. I think my car came with a Blaupunkt Symphony when I bought it. I replaced that with a Becker Mexico CC which lasted until I got fed up with the sticky knobs and poor quality audio. The Becker was replaced with the Continental CDD 7418UB which is okay-ish. Certainly looks the part, audio is passable but my speakers are originals and have big issues. Came with HF phone kit, loom adaptor, DAB antenna.
The Bremen is Bluetooth, USB, SDHC, DAB+ and RGB illumination, so any colour display and backlighting you feel like trying!
