front apron bolt?
#1

Anyone ever have this problem? One of the little m5 locknuts sheared off the stud connecting the lower bumper cover.

There is a metal plate that slides into a pocket in the plastic apron - with the m5 stud. Does not look like it is separately available - drilling out the stud looks possible. Any advice?

Mine have not sheared off, and the studs are in good shape, but the nuts are a PITA to get on and off. Something I don't look forward to and it's probably all that's kept me from installing my new oil cooler shroud...

I don't have a recommendation for replacing them, but I do recommend something easier to reach and manipulate, like wing nuts, if you do.

Apex - This happened to me too. I drilled the studs out and replaced them with a bolt, lock washer and nut.
