with the help of one 951 enthusiast, we installed the new RS Barn stage 1 chip to my 968, and boy does the chip make the car better!! Engine feels smoother, and there's more power troughout the rev range.

I cannot wait to get the LWFW installed (4 weeks to wait), I think after that mod I will have constant hard-on, while driving...

With that chip, sure that engine is a great piece of work!

Agreed - just installed the RS Barn stage 1 as well and really notice the torque increase. Much smoother from a standing start too.

to add insult to injury, i mix in 4-5 gallons of 100 octane in each tank, at a staggering $8.00/gallon

Flash,

Have any RS Barn Stage 1 chips been shipped to Australia? The two Aussies I have spoken to both have Promax chips. I have been led t believe that our fuel is not up to the same standard as yours although it seems that the major fuel companies are improving their premium fuel.

I have become much more sensitive about this as I recently went through the Australian Desert country where they supply non-sniffable fuel (which I expect came in at under 90 Octane). The landcruiser nearly went on strike!!! I now prefer a 98 BP fuel being marketed as Ultimate for all my vehicles.

Thanks,

Peter
