#1

Hi all,

Looked around the web could only find details on removing a 944 door mirror is the 968 removal the same?

Thanks,

Dave

Are you trying to remove the entire unit from the door, or are you trying to remove the mirror itself (the glass) from the housing?

Entire mirror.

I'm switching it from a tire wall contact door to a freshly painted non-tire wall contact door

Thanks,

Dave

Anyone? Bueller?? Bueller???

Either it's way too easy, since I haven't spent any time looking at it, or I've stumped you guys and you're all waiting for me to answer

Typically I read instructions, but I only have access to the parts diagram not the workshop manual.

New to this model (924-968) so any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Dave

Yes, it removes and installs just like the 944 mirror does. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Boy, do I feel dumb!!

I just looked again online and this time searched under 944 door mirror removal

I knew it was one hex bolt but the other site I had found instructed taking out the mirror glass then finding the hex bolt!!

For anyone else in my (old) shoes just turn the mirror housing (breakaway portion) forward like you backed up and hit the mirror on your garage door channel and there's the hex bolt

Anyone had their mirrors stolen? Seems like an unsecure way to mount such an expensive piece.

Cheers,
