I agree. I've love the sound with air box mod and with an exhaust that has a deep throat sound.

Yeah, I noticed a nice "muscle car"-ish sound the first time I fired her up and revved the engine <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> Quite different. Almost a modded exhaust sound. I felt a bit more power from about 1500=2500RPMs, as well. Haven't taken it out above 40MPH yet.

Now just waiting on the phalange-doo-hickey-thing-a-ma-bobbers from Crutchfield... Pics coming...

A K&N even makes my Lexus RX400h hybrid sound a bit "throaty," if that's allowed on a "green" car.

I dont think "throaty" and "green" car have ever been used togeather in the same sentence (nor should they be). <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/unsure.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Don't pick on my hybrid; it's value goes up with the price of a barrel of oil. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I just put the lindsey racing 300hp kit on it. My foot has been buried deep in the boost for the last 2 weeks.

I am now getting about 13mpg!

With the 300 kit it is a whole nother animal. 3rd gear is where the magic happens. Only if had the cash to make a 3 liter yutrbo for the 968...

This is the kit I got. I went with a 3" exhaust instead of of the 4".

I also put a flowmaster resonator in place of the cat delete pipe.

Lindsey racing sure has some pretty engine pics... Down the road when I do an engine rebuild , I am seriously considering the 3.0 turbo conversion with Haltech control...but that's at least 6-8g's away right now.

xrad- Yeah, I'd like to do a turbo conversion at one point, too, but I've heard that you should do an engine overhaul on top of it... so add that to your 6-8K estimate... I'd have to convince the wife first. alot of cheese.

BTW, what are your wheels??? Me likey! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> got an http: source?

You could "cheat" and buy a wrecked 951 and swap the entire drive line over. It would be fairly straight forward. The thought has crossed my mind on several occasions.
