Part 3 of G's intake mod
#1

All,

I completed my 3rd iteration of my custom intake.

1: I added a velocity stack to the inside of the air filter, made from an

old school hi performance carb mod (from my chevy daysSmile

2: I moved the AFM back to the factory location. In iteration "Part 2" I moved

the AFM toward the air filter (1.5 ft from the throttle body) and I notice a

bit of surging and lag when rolling on throttle.

3: I also straightened the air "shot" from the air filter to the AFM.

These mods resulted in better throttle response and smoother acceleration when

compared to the last iteration. I have yet to dyno this iteration. Part #2 resulted

in 8hp to the wheels.....I hope that this adds a few more <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Pic one is of the last iteration....pic 2-4 are of the new.

the velocity stack will help tune the air and reduce turbulence going into the pipe - many cone filters come with one "built in"

looks like you're having fun - cool
