The appointment for my car's respray is fast approaching and I'm trying to get it ready. I've managed to remove all the trim except for the "caps" on the rear fenders of my cabriolet. I've undone what screws I can find along the convertible top (3) and inside the trunk on the top (5 or 6, iirc) , but it doesn't want to move at all.
I don't want to force it for fear of breaking it. Any advice on removal?

Yep, those are the ones. I was thinking that removing those would allow that crease on the underside to be sanded down much easier. A side benefit is the masking for the convertible top would be easier too.
I'll investigate the parts diagrams further to see if there's something I'm missing.

For future reference: There is a row of screws under the base edge of the top, where the canvas meets the body. You actually have to remove the back part of the top completely to get to them, which involves lots of fiddly stuff.. Not for the faint hearted.
And then, additionally they're held on by a) regular trim tape along the bottom edge and <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.png" class="smilie" alt="" /> a thick foam tape along the top edge.
The top edge tape looks to be something special, but the PET doesn't list it. I'm not sure if it's meant to be one time use, I'm going to reuse it, just with some spray adhesive where it needs it.
