Window removal and refitting
#1

Hi All, I've owned a pristine 968 Coupe for about 3 weeks now and a couple of days ago, the driver's window fell out of it's track. After removing the trim I was able to manoeuvre the window back into the track and raised the scissor lift mechanism up under the bottom edge of the window to hold it in place.

There are two slotted tracks on the bottom of the window that the two rollers on the lift arms appear to be meant to fit into. Can anyone advise me of the best way to go about getting the rollers back into the tracks? I would prefer not to have to dismantle any more of the mechanism than absolutely necessary. I've read about plastic rollers and bits that break, but there are just metal rollers on this particular window. Looks like if I can get them back onto the window, all will be well.

Any words of wisdom will be very much appreciated.

Thanks, Laurie.

I just saw this question. I will be taking my door panel off in the near future. I will take a look.
