Has anyone removed the  nozzles from the hood before. I would like to remove mine for a good polish of my clearcoat and can not figure out what holds them or lets them loose. Any help would be welcome. I know this is not a commonly removed item so experience may be scarce.

Why on earth are you willing to risk a scratch on a well polished hood just to have a flat surface. Use of 1/4" Masking tape  will do the job of covering the small squirters.  I have not done this job,but

I think it has a slip clip under the hood. Not meaning to be a smart a$$, but jobs like this are as scarise  as hens teeth (as is my spelling).
