So there I was, side of the road, clutch pedal to the floor, waiting for the AAA flatbed to arrive (thanks for that tip Flash, already paid for itself).....
High pressure hose is split vertically at the metal/rubber junction, not really surprised after researching here. I'm going to replace the two cylinders as well.
Further down my list of ToDos was front wheel bearings and a full on brake job.... rotors/pads, caliper inspection/rebuild (maybe some paint), SS lines, fluid change.
Is it acceptable to vacate most of the fluid out/have the entire system drained and start fresh once everything is re assembled?
Any problems if it takes a couple weeks with the hoses and lines empty? What about while filling it all back up...can I bleed the lines with my Motive from dry state by just pushing the air out with the new fluid (using proper sequence, of course)?
Or do I need to do this in stages, keeping the system filled?
