Brake dust boot removal
#1

I ham-fisted a wire brush while cleaning a front caliper, and tore a cylinder dust boot.  I've got a replacement, but can't figure out how to get the ripped one off.  Can I pry it out, and snap the new one in,  or does the cylinder need to be pulled out?

You should be able to replace it without removing the piston. Trickiest is to keep dirt out and to clean surface after old dust boot.
