Paragon parts has a kit for both M030 cars and non-M030 cars to upgrade the front discs and calipers to the 993 Turbo items (the link is below). This is where I got my kit from to upgrade the brake on my car (as it is non-M030 equiped).

http://www.paragon-products.com/ProductDet...ctCode=944BBK_1

I re-read the article on the Ninemeister 430hp supercharged 968 and it was running 993 turbo front brakes and 964RS rear brakes - it does not explain why this was chosen. I have heard of people taking the OE non-M030 front brakes and putting these to the rear - not sure of what this involves or whether you lose the parking brake. The discs are 330mm in diameter (or 13 inches in the old money) for fronts. THere was two options 314mm or 330mm - most of the aftermarket kits use the 330mm rotor.

As per the link above, these are a lot cheaper than $8k

yeah - there are a lot of competing products out there, but most of them, like that one, lack the rears as a part of the kit

i'm not exactly sure what ivan has in mind, or why the price is what it is - i think there must be some information missing - we know ivan does great work, and i'm sure the kit will be outstanding quality - i think we need to wait and see what it is and then decide what to do

Mea culpa, mea culpa. I checked the brake calipers at the shop and they indeed said "Brembo". So my bad for believing the web site and Wikipedia. I just didn't think they would leave out Porsche in there list of manufacturers they supplied.

Wikipedia should not be used as a source.. ever. They have gone a long way in adding references at the bottom, but that does not mean the information presented has any once of truth in it. Just my two cents... sorry for the rant.

Wikipedia had the same info as Brembo's web site. Therein was my mistake.

Will the kit retain the same front/rear brake balance as the OEM non-M030?

Sorry, for no updates but the shop that is making the hats was swamped with work and have not started on our project. We should have them by the end of January.

the 993 TWIN TURBO,or BIG reds are 322x32 mm ,and not 330 mm as mentioned.

Has anyone found out what are the small plastic doors/vents inside the front fender inner lining just behind

the oil cooler and transmission cooler(TRIP)?

they seem to be closed all the time.Do they have to do anything with the

brake cooling ?

Is there an airflow scetch for the 968 showing how the air goes in and out from the engine corpartment and the side vents

attached to the bottom middle tray?

have search ,but not been able to find one.Any help will be appreciated.
