A question of time(ing belt)
#1

My 1995 968 Cab has almost 68K miles. The previous, and only other owner changed the timing belt at 53K miles in 2003. Going by miles, I am not in need of a timing belt change, but I am wondering whether the time is also a factor in when to go for the maintenance.
Thanks

Time is definately a factor...I replace mine 5yrs/15,000 miles. Pete of RS Barn said 4 yrs atgthe tech session in Hershey last week.

Regards,

Jay

At the very least, get it looked at or inspect it yourself for signs of deterioration (cracking, fraying, etc.).

I anticipate having mine done in the near future.
