8th Annual Paso Robles Rendezvous and Wine Run
#81

Can we send the yellow Vette out first as a rabbit to draw all the Chippie attention? Sort of the 968 Forum version of a "designated driver"? lol

+1 on the James Dean detour.

This yellow Vette better be a new ZR1 which the 968s can use as a pace car <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I just saw a press release that says the CHP will be testing a new type of laser unit in the San Luis Obispo area next weekend. Supposedly the new unit not only measures speed, but also remotely detects the presence of alcohol in a driver's system!

for the SoCal contingent, i would like to suggest a change to the "pass by" plan from 9:30 at the Gaviota Rest Stop to 9:00 at Starbucks off the first exit (94B) in Santa Barbara. (driving by it anyway with easy entrance back on to 101, 35 miles prior to the Gaviota Rest Stop)

Dalwhinnie - highlands,

Balvenie sherry cask finish and a Macallan - speyside,

Talisker - Coastal,

Laphroaig - Islay,

Glenkinchie - Lowlands, and

(still working on a Glenmorangie with the Madeira finish but not optimistic as it's NLA)

Excellent, I can't wait...but what are the rest of you guys going to drink ? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I got the cigars , all are in the "mild" category so they don't overpower the scotch..

I'm going to bring some wine from the winery that I work at that we can have with dinner if you are not all wined out by that time. Also, the non-scotch drinkers will have some wine to drink if they prefer.

Flash - My check is on its way to you.

I will be getting the 968 back tomorrow so I won't be driving the "Panzer Zug"(Audi A6 Avant)

I've got no way to make it for next weekend. Busiest week at work of my life, and need to spend the weekend doing taxes....next year we'll definitely be planning on it..

well, the good news is that you can get the friction plate for the flywheel separately, so you don't have to get a whole flywheel

Nope, the press in bearing came out because of the disc. Pete says the whole thing needs to go.
