#21

no way that car actually sold for that.  i see that kind of thing happen all the time at used car dealers.  they report it on an ad, assuming nobody will check up. watch the title though.

The wipers are acting up all,of a sudden ; the left ( driver side ) travels at abut half the speed of the right one, so they run into one another mid-way , and just now one stopped working completely , while the other is moving but seems to struggle .. Levers issue, or motor , or what ?

Certainly please check the retaining nuts on the wiper arms, #20, remove the cap and see if those nuts are tight.

Thanks ! I was actually thinking about that late last night ; wondering if one of those nuts got loose, it would probably cause the arm to slip during its travel and be " slower " than the other , or even stop if the nut got to a point of being completely loose.

All fixed . The problem was apparently caused by the passenger side blade's outer edge which kept getting snagged briefly on the bottom rim of the windshield on its way up , because that nut was apparently just loose enough to allow the arm to drop down below the resistance setting and eventually it got caught under the rim and stopped completely on the last swipe , causing the other arm to act whacky . Reset the arms where they should be, re-torqued the nuts tightly and it's back to normal function now .

Don't you just love a no-cost fix to a problem? That doesn't seem to happen for you very often :-)

Yep, Dan's an expensive guy to maintain.  I mean, his cars are expensive for the guy to maintain Tongue

I apparently must even look like I'm expensive to maintain ; I bought new wiper blades because the old ones were definitely in need of getting replaced , so as I was paying the cashier said : " -is the car out there ? , let me know if you need any help putting them in " . Sure , it's a nice gesture and all that , but ... seriously ?! Did not realize I project an aura of mechanical ineptitude quite that visible .
