Royal Purple Oil
#21

lol - i worried about that a bit myself - made that mistake on an mg - those heaters are already no better than a mouse breathing on your foot - i put in too big a radiator and all the rest that goes with it, and it never got over 140 - wasn't good for the motor either

all is well with this setup though

let me know how the oil works - would love to hear the results

[quote name='Larry Currie' date='Mar 2 2005, 04:37 AM']I guess with the new fan switch and Royal Purple I'll have a problem with the engine getting warm enough for the heater to work. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/blink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Actually, your heater will work just fine if your coolant thermostat is working properly. The thermostast's only job is to maintain a minimum engine temperature, so even if you are motoring in -42 deg F, the engine will eventually achieve and maintain 195 deg F (or whatever the thermostat temp is).
