A buddy ordered new Michelin Pilot Sport 2s for his 993 TT from Tire Rack. He called the installer before going in for the appointment and asked them to check the date code on the tires. The tires were 4 years old!!!!!

The installer returned them to TR and received a much 'fresher' set.

Do you check tire age before you install?

I know I never did before, but will from now on.

Kidding, actually I did look at these ( mfg in 08 ) but never have before with any tires on any of our other cars. Good idea for sure !
