Supercharger faction
#81

just thinking out loud here, but i think it would be best if the supercharger faction stayed on this site, rather than further dilute the 968 community.  that, however, presumes that the site transfers to other hands, which as yet has not been nailed down.

as for any particular person's involvement in new ownership, i think the conversations are being had, and i think perhaps the issues that might lead to a "yes" or a "no" about any individual would involve a necessity to maintain the original vision and mission statement of the site.  i am pretty much letting this all happen on its own while i am in the background.  this conversation should be had on the thread about the site ownership though, and not on this thread

On this note - please PM " az968 " with your contact info so he can add you to the prospective / interested business partners email list...albeit, it's pretty small list.. and we've only had one or two preliminary communications so far, so you're not late to the party by any means ..

As for the SC faction club, thanks for offering to assist or even host , but I agree that at this point we can just start with the simplest and and cheapest method, and we'll see if that suffices or if we'll need to get any more sophisticated. Still waiting for the others to chime in, considering there are about 50 D1R SC 968s out there , I would hope we'll have at least half of the owners respond .

I think the original "supercharger faction" was just a group e-mail, correct. Not sure why it died.

Dan, for the mechanically challenged such as myself, who are members of this august group, what does a person like me bring to the table? I have no idea if there are others like me. i'm not saying  I am against the idea but just wondering. Has anyone moved their sc from one vehicle to another or have you just purchased another one?

Dan - Now that I've got my SC installed and running I'm interested in participating in any group or email list that's floating around.

Thanks, my fault here, should have clarified, I heard, I believe, that at this point the partnership thing was not being looked at, but selling the site to one entity, and I would be placed on a list.

I think that was the last I heard.

I'm back, not dead Smile

Yes this was just an ad hoc email list of SC owners who wanted to ping questions and ideas back and forth, nothing formal.

We just though it might be nice to have a "register" of SC owners.

We definitely need to coordinate the "SC support group" future communications, and technical help section, so I'll connect with I.F ( Ireland Flash ) to get the basic needs sorted out and then go from there ..

Are you going to host this faction? Get a dedicated server and all? I think you would make a good administrator and are certainly a logical choice. We could even vote on it. How many sc’ers vote to have Dan take on this honored role? I cast my vote for him!
