Size springs to go with Cup Suspension
#1

Looks like i'm going to buy the Bilstein Cup suspension from Bilstein for the 968, I need to get some springs and I won't go into the spring rates as such but does anyone know the size required (Club Sport) for front & rears?

I know Paragon quote the 2.5" Hypercoils front and 2.25" for the rears but does anyone know the length?

Thanks

Andy

Bor Bilstein Cup suspension:

Front springs are 10" x 2.5"ID, Rears are 8" x 2.25"ID. I have been running 400 lb-in fronts and 200 lb-in rear, plus stock 25.5 mm torsion bars for 10 years. Great for track and smooth roads, but a little harsh for less than perfect pavement. I am doing less track now, and using the 968 as a daily driver. I will soon change spring rates to 250-275 front and 100 or 150 rear, plus have the shocks revalved to suit. Hope this helps!

I have 225 in the front and it feels great on the street so 250ish should be fine as well.

Correction on my spring sizes! I took the suspension off the other day to send the shocks for revalving. The front springs are 2.25" ID x 9" long, and not 2.5" x 10" as I thought. Rears are 2.25" ID and 8" long. This is for the Bilstein Turbo Cup suspension components. Note that a 7" rear spring and a 10" front spring would also work on the shocks. My spring perches require the 2.25" ID, which slide nicely over the 2" diameter shock bodies.
