RS Barn Invitational Fun Run Pics
#1

Hi All,

On October 14th, RS barn held an invitational event for Clients and friends. On short notice 9 cars showed up (OK, 8 Porsches and 1 BMW Z3).

The course covered 50 miles of some of Bucks County PA's most beautiful roads and covered bridges, in the height of the "Foliage Season".

Here are a few pics and more picstures can be found at:

Sorry I couldn't make it, looks like you had good weather for top down driving.

Jay, is that your car with the bra?

Hi Mark,

It was absolutely beautiful!!! I was planning on topdown/windows up/heat on....turned out to just be top down, sunny and smiles from ear to ear.

Yes, I like the look of the bra because it accents the deviating gray black interior...and because my lower grill is badly in need of replacing (hopefully a winter project).

Jay

I like the look of the bra because it accents, well, other things...oops wrong bra...I would've loved to join you guys, but no invite.

Jay, I'm planning on doing the 2 968engineering grilles as my lower one is almost non-existent and my car always looks like it's smiling. Everytime I have it up, it makes me want to start removing screws to pull the bumper cover, but then I realize that it's probably an all day job. I hope to have it reshot while it's off to fix some paint curtains from the previous owner, so probably a winter project for me too.

Great pics...glad you guys had fun.

actually, removing the bumper cover is very easy - even the first time, it shouldn't take more than a half hour - i could walk you through it over the phone - i think i posted a DIY for this too

i'd be hard pressed to finish a beer in the time it takes for a complete R&R and grille installation

Hi Sean,

Pete's yellow turbo race car was parked safely in the Barn. But here's pics from Pocono a few weeks ago...(by the way, take a good look at my profile pic )

wow I didn't realize that thing was so tweaked out for racing. Looks real aggressive.

with the body-color light covers and squarish bits at the front of the hood, it looks a bit like a 951 from the front.

BTW - what's up with your profile pic ? I see a bunch of pcars (kewl) but am I missing something?

The yellow car is completely a race car. No interior, fuel cell, full cage, race bucket driver's seat and no prayer of getting a second seat in there. It was built by Porsche as a race car although I think they actually had some of the CS interior (I've got his center console sitting here that I need to return) but Pete has it in full race mode.

I think Jay is telling me his profile has always shown the car with the bra and I am unobservant or he updated it with a new pic.

If you look across the hood of my car in the pits you can read "POCONO" across it in the reflection.

The pits are as far as I will take my car, but what a day, despite the fog and rain. RTR Region raised about $60k for Make-a-Wish, got to see some very rare and VERY fast cars. Pete had the only 968 (on the track).

Jay

Yeah, that's a nice car

Oh yeah, and those are some nice roads. Reminds me of 0 ave here in BC. Too bad that road sucks now cause of all the raised intersections

Pocono is a mountain range in Pennsylvania that just happens to have a Roval racetrack in the area. The NASCAR boys use it a couple times a year and the local car clubs use the road course for races and driving schools. Personally, I find the track completely uninspiring. I'd rather drive another couple hours to go to the Glen.
