My lights are being funny. One is up and one is down. If I turn the lights on they switch, one up goes down and the one down goes up. For the longest time right side light didn't quite make it to the up possition. tried pulling it up and now this happens. Any way to reset it?



Also, muffler seems to have come apart on the inside. Any recomandations for replacement other than factory?

It sounds like you have to interrelated issues with the headlights. One is lubrication - try spraying a cleaner into the mechanism and then a lubricant. Not easy, as the access is almost nil, but it can be done. Also pull the relay that controls the headlights and clean the contacts before reinserting the relay. This may or may not be the cure, as these relays are known to fail, in which case you'll have to replace the relay. The combination of these two areas, though, should cure your problem.

I have the factory exhaust system, including the factory headers and cat that I no longer need. It has about 33K miles on them. If you are interested, you can make me an offer.

There has been quite a bit of discussion on this BB regarding exhaust systems. The 968 is very sensitive to backpressures, so installing a muffler that reduces back pressure will probably create flat spots in acceleration, and possibly a slight loss in power.



Summarizing all the discussions, there appear to be only two aftermarket exhaust systems worth considering. In the end, it seems that they are relatively close in performance and cost, but differ in "quality" of sound. The B&B exhaust system was the first of the two to hit the market. The second one is the one developed by RS Barn. The Barn system is the least expensive, and preferred by many since you have the ability to upgrade items from Barn. They have also made available a high flow cat and a performance header (both of which could be used with either system, but results are only available for the entire Barns system).



I personally have the RS Barn system on my car, and am satisfied. Both systems are noisier than the OEM unit, and sound more gutteral.
