I should have an open seat if need be; I may need a liability waiver however <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

My mom's new 968 should be done by then... but she won't come, and I can only drive one car at a time. And she doesn't let anyone else but me drive it.

This month is going to be exciting. We've got this gtg, then a track day the following friday, then an autocross here the next day, etc. Those killer 944 norcal runs are coming up too.

okay I'm close to needing new rear tires so might as well get em done before the trip.

However - looks like Avon stopped making our size in 16's. How horrible is having mismatched front and rear tires?

Joe Chen, you gotta come out. Bring your cab. Plus, bring your fiancee and it'll be an easier sell for me with the ladyfriend.

Joe posted on rennlist for us, I'm not registered on that forum. Joe, any replies ?

I'm flying solo on these trips - wife panics quickly as soon as the car goes to 3 digits speed ( which for me is usually within about 15 seconds of leaving my driveway <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ) , and on this trip in particular she can only drink beer, but no wine for a couple of months ( reaction with some medication ) so no point whatsoever to her joining in the fun at Tobin James <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I was actually talking about Chis Luckett ( not sure I have his last name spelled correctly ) He's in the Bay Area - I'll see if I can search here and link to his email

Yeah Joe, what Sean said re bringing cab + fiancee' ! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Sean, "somebody" may inhibit your flirting with the waitresses at The Crooked Kilt <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> Well, on the other hand that's never stopped me <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/dry.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> , so go for it.

I'm working on it....

I have Chris Luckett's e-mail -- I keep forgetting we have 2 "Chris's" in the Bay Area now -- I'll send him a note.

I also bumped up the Rennlist thread but it's super-quiet. There's a new guy out in Vacaville who posts a lot and is dying to meet up -- I'll send him a note as well.

I just realized the Parts Heaven swap meet is on the 3rd, so I have to be there. I won't miss that for anything. My plan was to use the Paso trip as an excuse to go down to socal..... well I'll go down a few days early and then use the Paso trip as an excuse to come back to norcal. I'll be caravaning up with the socal group then. My apartment is in Riverside, a good hour east of LA. When/where are we all meeting up? What's the route, 5... 101...?

EDIT

Wait, on my way back my car will be FULL of stuff (as I slowly move back to norcal). This will not a happy driver make...

no worries - eric (rustech) lives out that way, and you can probably hook up with him, and then the two of you make your way this way or whatever

I'm leaning towards not going, since my car will be full of stuff (as in boxes and clothes PACKED in). Twisties will send my stuff flying around, and it'll weight me down too! Maybe I'll think of something, but for now consider me out.

this one is not so much of a twisties kind of run, so that really shouldn't be an issue

Really? Well I guess I could take a detour from my cargo run to stick my 968 into the group.

I'm out since I'll be somewhere over the pacific on my way back from Tokyo. I could use a good drive after three weeks of planes, trains and taxis...

Arash, What's the story on the track day you are doing?
