#1

I took the picture with my phone and it was getting dark so its a little blurry. Tonight I should be installing the Techart rear spoiler and will post more pictures.

These cars look so much better with splitters. Makes me wonder why they weren't stock.

i have a love/hate relationship with them - the extra wind drag is no fun, but the down force is nice - the snagging on driveways is definitely not fun at all - from the front, and at quarter angles, they look "ok", but i don't like the side view, where you can see the front apron - i finally gave up on mine - i definitely will not be installing anything on the white car

the only other options are things like what i did, which are not perfect solutions either, and have their own "issues"

i would like to try to retrofit a front end with an incorporated device one of these days

but, welcome to the slippery slope - lol

A bit off topic, but I did a quick Google search for 'porsche motorsports splitter 968' and found this gem. I do not know Dave, but his car looks smokin. Love the blood red treatment.

I'm not sure if I fit in my driveway yet, we'll find that out tonight when I bring it home to install the spoiler.

*ebarone968 - Its pretty easy to install. Just remove all the screws and two nuts that hold the batwing to the bumper. Put the splitter between the batwing and bumper and mark the holes, drill them out and put it all back together. The whole job takes 15 minutes maybe? My suggestion is to put a few layers of tape where the bumper fits into the groove of the splitter before marking for the holes. It will space the splitter far enough forward so the lip on the bumper fits far enough into the groove of the splitter so the splitter fits flush against the bumper once installed. I ended up having to oblong the holes a little so the bumper fit into the groove properly.

*wiseman - I like yours too.

The front spolier is a techart spoiler, from Porsche motorsports? I really like it. The front splitter is probably the only part I dont have a source for. I plan on replicating the 968 ts, so the front splitter is a must for me.

Contact Gert @ Carnewal. He can get you the PoMoSports front splitter IIRC. Google "Carnewal." They ain't cheap.

Thanks for that Biotechee. Not real expensive I guess. 437.89 USD + shipping. My cp racing 951 splitter was cheaper, then again, its broken already. Not as indestructable as I thought. Kissed a parking curb lightly, and it chipped off. This is polyeurathane, so Im guessing its softer/gummier.

monstrous, that front splitter isnt the techart unit, its the Turbo S splitter. I like them both. Kind of cool that the factory offered 2 different front splitters for our cars.

I believe the Techart version of the front splitter is NLA.

Shipping to the US won't be cheap - perhaps a group buy seeing as how there are many new members with 968's which don't have the front splitter?

+1 on Gert - very helpful and an all-around great guy.

Group buy sounds like a great idea. Could save on shipping at least, I would think. Keeping it under 500 would be nice.

The Euro being lower right now also helps out.

i did a group buy on these a number of years ago - worked out fine - he gives a better price break on numbers, and saved a bunch on shipping - was nearly the same to send 1 as it was to send 6 - was sort of a pain after they got here due to packing them up and shipping them individually though - better if you can keep it organized to local pick-ups
