I got home from work and went to open the trunk to get my briefcase out. It won't open! I tried both the interior switch and the key. I hear the motor inside working, but it doesn't open. I tried pulling on the wire loop inside the vent in the driver's door sill, but it does nothing. The wire doesn't move at all. I need my briefcase in the morning. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Perhaps there's a way to open the little flaps from inside the cabin?

I brought it in to my mechanic right after court last Friday and asked if they had time or, if not, could give me any hints. Luckily they had some time. Got it open through the fold down seatbacks. One of the guys was skinny enough to crawl in. They told me the pin on the lock broke off. They installed a generic pin and ordered the Porsche pin from Germany. Suggested I leave the seatbacks down just in case until we can get the new pin in. Only charged me $150. Well worth it as I suspect it would have taken me all day Saturday to do it myself.
