I just purchased new M030 sway bars with complete set of delrin bushings and drop link at the rear. I'm thinking to put the KLA sway bar bracket supports in front but this is what Racers Edge suggests :
"do not recommend the front bracket bracing on a stock setup because with stock linkages the bracket NEEDS to be able to move fore and aft a little bit. The A-arms move fore and aft a bit as the A-arms go up and down. If the bracket cannot move, then you are just loading extra stress into the whole assembly. If you had an aftermarket sway bar and linkage, then you would most likely want to stiffen the bracket because the deflection would probably be taken up with rod end style drop links used on the aftermarket sway bar".
Searching on this beautifull and powerfull forum, it supplied me with tons of info (grooving and greasing the delrins and block them with shaft collars, thanks to Flash) --> but after reading the remark of Racres Edge I can't figure out what to to with the KLA front bracket supports.
Can someone clear this out for me ? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/unsure.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/huh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/mellow.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
as long as you are not going bigger than an M030 bar, one brace (kla or tarret), solid mounts at the body, and rubber at the control arm will be a good setup
I have also that setup on my car:
M030 sway bar
KLA braces
Delrin solid bushings at the center
OEM rubber bushings at the control arms

Thanks to your comments and some research at this forum, the front sway bar doesn't have any big secrets for me anymore.
Philippe, your photo of the bracket support is very significant. Perhaps in this summer we can organise a meeting between us. Brussels and Zemst is only 20 km aside. Strange thing internet is , 2 persons in Belgium starting to know somrthing of eachother by means of an American forum. Our electronic communication travels for some 10.000 kms while in fact, we are located only 20 km aside ...
