Rear M030 sway-bar
#1

This thing is absolutely magnificent. Running new sway-bar bushings but old drop links for now.

I put it at the stiffest setting and I can just feel the car pushing the front through a corner. Much less body roll and a hack of a lot less understeer.

In fact, I haven't been able to produce any since I mounted the bar. I haven't been at any track or autoslalom since then though, so we'll see how it handles there. But for now I'm pretty happy, that clunking sound when I back up is gone and the cars actually feels more comfortable and a lot more stable.

I'm planning on buying the front one too sooner or later, and maybe some adjustable drop links.

Another thing, I felt the boy ricer in me taking over before I mounted it. I painted it signal yellow. How long until I paint it black again? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

Some nice adjustable drop links will take the side to side preload out... More bling needed.

I get oversteer on the track under power with the M030 bars with the rear set to the middle setting. I use a staggered setup on factory 17x7.5/9s. I do like the stiff setting for autocross though. Car rotates better. YMMV

yeah - adding a stiffer rear bar should not decrease understeer, but rather make the car tend to oversteer.

jw - agreed about the bar. in fact, i generally prefer to run no front bar in autocross on most cars, and only a rear bar. keeps the front balanced much better under power.

I'd rather have a little predictable oversteer than the horrendous understeer I've been bothered with all season.

It seems like it's been pushing the front wheels until it snaps and oversteers like crazy. Border line is, I really like how the handling changed.

I guess it will be wise to run the front bar at a softer setting?(If it's adjustable too)

I'll look into that once I'm installing the front bar. But for now. I'm REALLY happy with the handling.
